We feel like a big warm family living in a very inspirational environment while having the privilege to be trained by a world champion with a very unique personality. We believe every child is different and need a different approach to learn new skills. We also encourage friendships and mutual assistance between the gymnasts, which plays a role in enhancing their social skills.

OUR PROGRAMS

FOSTERING EXCELLENCE, AND YET ACCESSIBLE FOR EVERYONE.

We provide all-day sport and motion art activities for youth aged between 4 years old and above, with a clear focus on a strong Rhythmic Gymnastics foundation. Our Academy focuses on both nurturing excellence, as well as making the unique values of Rhythmic Gymnastics accessible to everyone.

Student training
Foundation 1 & 2

We offer the Foundation Program for girls in the ages between 4 to 10 years old with no prior training or experiences in gymnastics/ballet.

Foundation 1 & 2

The objectives of the Foundation classes are:

1. To explore and nurture an interest in rhythmic gymnastics.
2. To strengthen body muscles and enhance motor skills.
3. To develop fundamental skills for executing basic rhythmic gymnastics movements effectively.
4. To cultivate body awareness and discipline in practice and performance.


The Foundation 1 Program is for girls aged 4 to 6 years, and the Foundation 2 Program is for girls aged 7 to 10 years. The time commitment required is 3 to 4.5 hours per week. Once a year, gymnasts will have the opportunity to advance to the next level after successfully completing the terms and passing the assessment.

National Program - National Pathway

Gymnasts who can commit to limited training hours may choose to train under the National Pathway Programme.

National Program - National Pathway

The objectives of the national pathway are:

1. To encourage participation in Rhythmic Gymnastics
2. Focus on basic techniques to master body movements and apparatus in a progressive manner.
3. Promote fun, creativity and the love for RG in an encouraging environment.


Gymnasts who can commit to limited training hours may choose to train under the National Pathway Programme. The progression pathway is structured by levels (Level 1 to Level 8), with each level categorized by age group and suggested training hours.


The body and apparatus difficulties for the National Pathway are fixed for all gymnasts up till level 6. Level 7 and 8 allows gymnasts their choice of difficulties subject to the requirements set out for each level.


Gymnasts will be graded based on the fixed set of difficulties in the choreography and music of their choice. The choreography must also include the artistry requirements set out for the level as well as the following artistry components:

– Guiding Idea and Character of Movement
– Body Expression
– Facial Expression
– Sufficient use of Floor area

National Program - Elite Pathway

This pathway is created to cultivate potential gymnasts for international competitions in a systematic and progressive manner that is suitable and safe for their age.

National Program - Elite Pathway

The objectives of the elite pathway are:

1. To cultivate potential gymnasts for international competitions in a systematic and progressive
manner that is suitable and safe for their age.
2. To promote healthy competition within the same age group between potential gymnasts.
3. Aligning to FIG’s Age Group programme and global standards


Gymnasts will be allowed to compete only in their respective Age Group Categories. The age is based on the birth year of the gymnast in the calendar year. The Elite Pathway will be aligned with the FIG Code of Points 2025-2028 (COP 2025-2028) except for reduced number of body and apparatus difficulties tailored to the specific age groups. There will no longer be any passing scores and gymnasts will be competing within their age groups.

FIG PROGRAM UNDER ELITE PATHWAY

This category is designed for girls aged 14 and above who are fully committed and have met the foundational requirements as per the Bianka Panova Training System.

FIG PROGRAM UNDER ELITE PATHWAY

This category is designed for girls aged 14 and above who are fully committed and have met the foundational requirements as per the Bianka Panova Training System. Participation is by invitation only, and these gymnasts have honed their skills in the competitive international arena. Members of this group will be eligible to compete in both local and international events. Subject to meeting the National Squad selection criteria, gymnasts will have the opportunity to represent Singapore in prestigious events such as the SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Championships, and more.


Our FIG Program focuses on personal responsibility and initiative in training, fostering a culture where athletes take charge of their own development. Mentorships are encouraged to facilitate learning and mutual support among gymnasts. We prioritize critical thinking skills, empowering athletes to train independently with creativity and precision. Personalized competition preparation includes strategies to manage stress and promote self-care, aiming to develop well-rounded gymnasts who excel in both competition and personal well-being.


All these programs will enable to gymnast to achieve the following:

Character Development:
Learning to overcome challenges and establishing an attitude of persistence.
Building mental resilience when encountering obstacles.
Encouraging independence and self-discipline during training.
Developing the values of good sportsmanship.


Mental & Physical Development:
Training muscles for natural execution of gymnastic movements.
Cognitive memory development through manipulation of the apparatus.
Learning advanced motion qualities.
In-depth study of advanced body difficulties in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Mastering advanced apparatus techniques for apparatus such as clubs, rope, ball, ribbon and hoop.

Forming friendships with other students.
Enhancing communication skills between gymnasts & coaches.

MS. DANIELA MICHAELY

Daniela was born in Bulgaria and at the age of 13 she moved with her family to Israel. In 2014 she relocated to Singapore due to her husband’s business. Daniela was searching for a gymnastics club for her young daughter and she was not able to find what she was looking for. So she decided to open her own place and she is now the Managing Director of Bianka Panova Academy which has been operating since 2015 and has a clear vision to become the premier world-class academy in the Asia Pacific region.

Her prior work experience ranges from marketing manager roles to organizing high-end events for corporate clients. She holds a B.A of Business Administration as well as Marketing and Social Media diplomas.

Daniela is extremely passionate about dancing – she used to be a Ballroom and Latin dancer and an amateur actress. Her other interests include reading books and watching theatre. She genuinely believes that everybody has a huge potential to succeed in life if they do exactly what they love and passionate about. Her moto is to always dream big and follow-through in order to create and achieve incredible things.

Bianka has been living and working in five different European countries before finally settling in Singapore. Her professional experience ranges from being a Head Coach of RG clubs in Italy and Belgium, to the National Coach and Consultant for RG teams in Switzerland, Spain and UK. She was also selected as an International Judge for FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) between the years of 1996 and 2000. In 2015, Bianka relocated to Singapore and together with Ms. Daniela co-founded the Academy with the shared vision of developing RG world-class platform in Singapore for young and upcoming gymnast talents.

Her other hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, and dancing. In 2013, Bianka published her first book “In The Name Of The Great Goal – Behind the Scenes” which is a book based on her fascinating life story as a young gymnast celebrating few euphoric moments as well as facing an incredibly challenging growing pains. It was definitely not an easy journey but as Bianka always says: “I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart for everything that happened to me.”

MR. LEONG WEN JIN

Wen Jin is a Singaporean local through and through. One of his many achievements is holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance, the industry he is currently pursuing an ACCA certification for.

He started his finance journey working in various finance departments in multiple industries such as hospitality, banking and a SME start-up. Through the years in the said industries, he has experienced wearing multiple hats and experienced different roles such as HR and Operations. His passion for joining SME-cultured businesses stems from the idea of being with a team that is like-minded and shares a vision for the company’s growth and success, something that he found when he joined the BPA Team.

One of his main passions is being a cultural traveler where he is able to live and experience life there as a local. Some of his best memories include eating delicious street food at the heart of Thailand and living in a cabin in the Swiss alps.

Christina was born and raised in Singapore where she earned a Diploma in Missions from Tung Ling Bible College, an LCCI Diploma in Marketing, a Certificate in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, and an Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment.

With all these accomplishments, she has been in a plethora of industries including but not limited to Events, Education, Travel, and Retail. Most notably, she has 15-year experience in Tourism & Attractions specializing in Frontline Ops, Guest Experience, and Training.

Christina is excited to join the Academy because she has been inspired by Bianka’s holistic principles and methodologies.

In her free time, she enjoys walking in nature, hiking, and baking.

MR. Samuel Tang Teck Ern

MR. Samuel Tang Teck Ern

Samuel is a local Singaporean that has travelled to Beijing and Australia for two months each as a part of an exchange program.

He holds a Pharmaceutical Science Diploma, and is Certified in Teaching and Learning.

He proudly carries these education around as he dabbles in finance, education, consulting, and automobile. Despite these industries, however, Samuel’s strong suits are business development, content creation, sales, operation, and training.

Samuel is a person who always seek for constant growth, loves to try something new, and is a strong proponent of giving back to the next generation. Joining the Academy aligns with these principles, so he’s very excited to be a part of a platform that provides the youths a chance to pursue their passions and dreams.

Samuel’s hobbies include badminton, singing, and songwriting as he used to be a part of a band that performed in various places.

MS. KEVYN VEJERANO

Kevyn is a born Filipino and continues working offshore there as the Marketing Manager for the Academy. Her degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and passion for writing in school newspapers brought her to the Academy as a writer at first, and then eventually evolved into the marketing department.

Joining fresh out of college with an IT degree and armed with a Journalist of the Year award, she was determined to put her skills of web development and experience of article writing to use. The Academy has since invested in her further to make her knowledgeable in SEO and digital marketing as well which are all the things she loves doing now. She may not have had a strong background in sports, but she was able to easily join the team through the passion the Academy has for rhythmic gymnastics and in encouraging creativity in everyone.

Aside from technical stuff, Kevyn enjoys editing videos and drawing fan art of her favorite shows and groups. Clay sculpting, reading, and fiction writing are also some of her favorite outlets.

ARAI-KONATSU

Ms. Konatsu Arai

Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach

Konatsu Arai, a native of Japan, completed her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education at Tokyo Women’s College of Physical Education, Japan. Starting ballet at the age of two, she seamlessly transitioned into rhythmic gymnastics when she was twelve years old, excelling throughout her college years.

As a rhythmic gymnast, Konatsu represented the Tokyo Women’s College, her achievements are remarkable, including securing 2nd place in hoop & clubs at the Gwangju 2015 Universiade in Korea and clinching 1st place in group work at the All Japan National Championships in both 2015 and 2016. Additionally, she achieved 2nd place in group work at the Japan Interchange Competition in 2018.

Konatsu's career as a rhythmic gymnast has brought her to prestigious events such as the closing ceremony of the 2020 Paralympic Games and performances at Star Island in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and various other venues. Alongside her performances, she devoted herself to enhancing her gymnastics skills and giving back to the rhythmic gymnastics community by volunteering as a children's gymnastics instructor before joining BPA.

Driven by a passion for personal and professional growth, Konatsu sought mentorship from Bianka. She successfully completed the Bianka Panova Training Curriculum and now works with gymnasts across all levels.

Back home, she studied Physical Education at Tokyo Women's College, and she went on to become an Assistant Coach at her alma matter's Junior Youth Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Team for three years. This experience opened the door for her to go abroad to Malaysia as a Coach at Rhythmic Excellence Unity Academy for four years. In 2016, Miho attended a seminar hosted by Bianka Panova which impressed her and impacted her coaching philosophy.

She looks forward to sharing her experience as a coach with our gymnasts in Singapore, as well as improving her coaching techniques through Bianka’s expertise. On top of this, she was also attracted by the coaches and staff's great teamwork, warm atmosphere, and cheerful students.

Justin Zee

MR. JUSTIN ZEE

GUEST BALLET CHOREOGRAPHER

Justin was born in Victoria Australia, but has lived in Romania, Czech Republic, and Singapore since then. He has completed his Advanced Diploma in Arts (Classical Dance) at the National Theatre Ballet School in Australia.

Justin’s impressive work experience includes working with a variety of Ballet Companies around the world, including Melbourne City Ballet (Australia), Teatrul De Balet Sibiu (Romania), Národní Moravskoslezské Divadlo (Czech Republic), and currently dancing with Singapore Dance Theatre (Singapore).

Justin is enthusiastic about joining the Academy because working alongside inspiring, dedicated, and like-minded people drives him to be better. In fact, he is already a certified coach under Bianka Panova Academy’s own RG coaching program—which is designed to consistently deliver world class standards—and he is excited to be able to share his knowledge with the girls of the Academy.

Aside from his obvious passion for ballet and dance, Justin enjoys yoga, pilates, traveling the world, and café exploring. On his days off, he likes spending time alone but the day must be full of some activities!

Simona Dyankova

Simona Dyankova, born 7th December 1994, began her gymnastics career when she was six years old. By the time she's twenty years old, she's already a reserve for Bulgaria's main senior group, from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, she was finally given the chance to compete with the group, eventually collecting her first Group All-Around gold medal and a silver in the 5 Hoops Final at Pesaro World Cup. It's soon followed by another gold in the Group All-Around at Baku World Cup and Sofia World Cup. In the same year, she competed at the World Championships and finished with a silver in the Group All-Around.

In the following years, Simona went on to collect a total of 27 gold medals from World Cups, World Championships, European Games, and European Championships. However, her most notable achievement was her 28th gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she led her Bulgarian group as their captain into the top of the Olympic podium, effectively breaking Russia's 21-year winning streak.

Erika Zafirova

Erika Zafirova began her rhythmic gymnastics career quite later than the other girls. She started training at age seven while everyone else started at four or five years old. Stefani Kiryakova

Stefani Kiryakova is a member of “The Diamonds”, a Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics quintet that broke Russia’s 21-year reign as the Group All-Around Champions in the Olympics. This feat was achieved by Stefani and her group members — Simona Dyankova, Laura Traets, Madlen Radukanova, and Erika Zafirova — at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Her journey to this peak started at six years old, when she began her rhythmic gymnastics career. By the time that was 17 years old, she’s already a member of the senior Bulgarian group that won the All-Around gold at the Sofia World Cup in 2018. From there, she continued to collect more accolades with her team from World Championships, European Games, and European Championships until their notable 2020 Tokyo Olympic feat.
